Slumdog Millionaire Is Trully A Winner
This film ACTUALLY keeps the viewer at the edge of their seat. Slumdog Millionaire is worth watching again and again. Reason?, because you learn something new about it every time you see it. Danny Boyle compacted so much material into what felt like a very short time. We are given a time line and life lines for how far along in the film we are. The filming of the game show is the exact same setup as the regular television program. We are not given any special treatment in these scenes. This film holds so many different stories in his one little innocent life, it contains every single genre, from horror in the very beginning to a one of a kind romantic moment. Boyle always has another section of his life covered in the game show and with certain life changing lessons an certain lessons that change other lives. The main structure of a film is to have a character change in some way, shape, or form, this film has a number of changes. It changes the viewers' outlook on modern day India, a character's change of heart, a character's change of energy, and a character's change of hope and outlook on life. This has been predicted as Oscar-worthy 'picture of the year' for a number of reasons. It displays the environment in an open area, it show poverty in it's most true form, out in the open surrounded by nothing and right next to society. There were no walls to cover up what was behind the scenes because everyone was effected by this film, whether they were being chased, being asked for change by small children, or crowded in the street or at work in front of computers. But they all come together and unite when they all gather around the television to watch the same character, they are all thinking the same thing, hoping for the same output, feeling the same tensions. No one judges one another, everyone blends together as a single country. This film teaches us never to give up, follow your dreams to happiness, always love and never hate anybody, be honest, work hard, remember your past but don't hold onto it, and to just be yourself.
